In Turkey, the month of Ramadan is a testing time for the country's large Muslim population. It highlights the often uneasy division between the country's secular and religious communities, no-where more so than in Turkey's largest city, Istanbul. That tension spilled over recently when the authorities banned alcohol at an international rock concert.
