Rudolf Thurner, a sports car buff from the Allgäu, came up with idea for the Thurner RS sports car in the 1970s. He built 121 of them, almost entirely by hand. Based on the NSU Prinz, they featured fiberglass bodies and gull-wing doors. Ottmar Philippi owns one of these rare models and has received Thurner's blessing to start building the cars again.
